Purchase terms

These terms govern the purchase of the food handler certificate and card on this website. By ticking the acceptance box at checkout, the customer declares that they have read and accepted them. This is a courtesy translation; in the event of any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.

1. What you are buying

A service of assessment and certification of food hygiene training: after passing the free exam, the customer pays for the issue of a certificate and card in PDF format, personalised with their first name, surname and ID document number, which are sent by email and remain available for download in their account. The course and the exam are free; only the issue of the document is charged.

2. Price and payment

The price is the one shown on the website at the time of purchase, VAT included. Payment is made by card, Bizum or any other method available on the payment page. A simplified invoice is issued in the customer’s name; if you need a full invoice with your tax details, you can request it by email.

3. Student details

The certificate is generated with the details the customer enters in the payment form. The customer is responsible for ensuring that the first name, surname and ID document number are correct. If there is a typing error, a correction can be requested by email within the following 30 days, free of charge; the document will be reissued with the same number.

4. Delivery

The PDF is generated automatically when payment is confirmed and sent to the email address provided, usually within a few minutes. If you do not receive it, check your spam folder or write to us.

5. Right of withdrawal

In accordance with article 103.a) of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 (Spanish General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users), the right of withdrawal does not apply to services that have been fully performed where performance began with the consumer’s express consent and with their acknowledgement that they lose their right of withdrawal once the contract has been performed. By accepting these terms and paying, the customer expressly requests that the issue of the certificate begin immediately and acknowledges that, once the PDF has been generated and sent, the service has been fully performed and no withdrawal is possible. If for any reason the certificate has not been generated, the customer may withdraw and recover the full amount within 14 calendar days of purchase by writing to the contact email address.

6. Validity of the certificate

The certificate proves the training received at Social Chef Formación in accordance with Regulation (EC) 852/2004. Since Royal Decree 109/2010 there is no official card issued by the public administration; training is provided by private entities and the food business is responsible for keeping the proof. The certificate has no legal expiry date; each employer or inspection may set its own renewal criteria.

7. Data protection

Data is processed in accordance with the privacy policy (in Spanish). The ID document number is stored encrypted and is only partially shown in the public verifier.

8. Complaints

For any complaint you can write to the contact email address. The European online dispute resolution platform and the complaint forms of the Regional Government of Andalusia are also available.
